HVAC Coil & Blower Cleaning Services in Saint JohnS University, MN

Your HVAC system is a machine, and like any machine, it needs to be clean to run properly. While duct cleaning handles the airways, HVAC coil and blower cleaning handles the heart and lungs of the unit. We are Saint JohnS University, MN’s mechanical cleaning specialists. We remove the impacted dirt and grime from your evaporator coils and blower wheels, restoring your system’s ability to cool and heat your home efficiently.

Evaporator Coil Cleaning

The evaporator coil is where the cooling happens. It is wet and tightly spaced, making it a magnet for dust. When dust builds up, it acts as an insulator, preventing the coil from absorbing heat. This leads to ac not cooling and can cause the coil to freeze over. We provide ac coil cleaning service, using specialized foam cleaners and combs to gently remove the debris without damaging the delicate aluminum fins.

Blower Wheel Cleaning

The blower wheel pushes the air through your home. If the blades are coated in dust, the fan becomes heavy and unbalanced. This strains the motor, reduces airflow, and can lead to noisy operation or motor burnout. Our dirty hvac blower cleaning service removes this weight, allowing the fan to spin freely and move more air with less energy.

The Efficiency Upgrade

A clean system is an efficient system. By combining evaporator coil cleaning and duct service, you are essentially giving your HVAC system a tune-up. This lowers the amperage draw of the motor and compressor, directly resulting in lower monthly utility bills and a longer lifespan for your expensive equipment.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do I know if my coils are dirty? If your AC runs constantly but the house doesn't get cool, or if you see ice forming on the lines, dirty coils are a likely culprit.
  • Do you take the unit apart? Yes. To clean the blower wheel and evaporator coil properly, we often need to open the plenum and access the internal components.
  • Can I clean the coils myself? It is risky. The fins are razor-sharp and bend easily. Using the wrong chemical or too much pressure can destroy the coil, costing thousands to replace.
  • Does this prevent breakdowns? Yes. The #1 cause of HVAC failure is dirt. Keeping the components clean prevents overheating and mechanical stress.
  • How often should coils be cleaned? Ideally, every 1-2 years, depending on your filter maintenance. If you use cheap fiberglass filters, the coils get dirty much faster.

"I didn't realize the blower wheel could get so dirty. They showed me the before and after—it was caked in mud. No wonder my fan was rattling."

"Professional service. They didn't try to sell me a new AC unit, just cleaned the one I had. Saved me a fortune."

Saint JohnS University, MN Insights: Population,
Zip Codes, Influence, and Service Areas

By the early 1950s the monastic community had reached to a near 450 monks, and had outgrown the original abbey church and so plans were made to construct a new, larger worship space which could accommodate a larger congregation. The liturgical movement which would culminate in the Second Vatican Council was in full swing at Saint John's and so the new church was also to be designed with some of the anticipated liturgical changes in mind. (Following the Council, almost no changes needed to be made to incorporate the new liturgical rules.) The community contacted twelve architects and asked them to submit plans for a church which would "be truly an architectural monument to the service of God." In 1954 the community selected Marcel Breuer to design not only the new church but an addition to the monastic enclosure.
